Dr. Thrasher is dead on that feelings and affect are constructed and that heat is racialized. But I would trouble his framing a bit here. Air conditioning tech came out of the metropole and was wielded like a weapon to reshape life in much of the (post)colonized (sub)tropics. 1/2

There's no excuse for sites & apps to be inaccessible to people with disabilities. Version 2.0 of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) was finalized in 2008! Designing compliant sites isn't so hard & makes the user experience nicer for all.
