Education. Makes me wonder about the folk in classrooms at every level who grow the very people every other field comes from - but it's no longer professional. 🤔

I’m soooo tired. TGIF. I have a fellowship meeting Monday so I need to find time for sub plans and cleaning up my classroom. We have multiple projects going in my classes and it definitely looks like a “working” classroom (aka a mess lol)

Sixty-five years ago today, four first-graders desegregated New Orleans's public schools: Ruby Bridges at William Frantz Elementary School, and Leona Tate, Tessie Provost, and Gail Etienne at McDonogh 19 Elementary School. They faced violent mobs and threats to their lives. They were 6 years old. 🗃

I don't have any energy to do anything non-work related after today's shift.

This season has been heavy. Leading every day while your own belief feels thin is a different kind of work. It is the version of leadership no one really prepares you for. The quiet erosion no one talks about. The part that shifts how you see yourself while you keep moving. #BlackEduSky #EduSky

First national presentation and close to 80 math teachers chose my session 💜 Conversation and reflection on how we bring our math trauma into our own instruction that we then transfer to our kids. How we feel about ourselves as Ts and how we feel about math can either harm or elevate math love.
