Last night, I released all of the stress I had been holding onto while working on the PS2 video all at once. Again, I never realize how tired I truly am until I allow myself to take a break. Today, I played Final Fantasy XIV all day as a treat. The most hikikomori thing I've done in a long time.

The PS2 video is getting there, but due to just how many games were released for this system, I have to borrow footage for many scenes. Problem is: YouTube has made this as obtuse as possible, as I have to screen record every single piece of footage that I think I need. Downloaders aren't working.

Finished my first playthrough of Silent Hill f, only to realize that I've only scratched the surface of the game's story. There were moments here and there where I realized why aspects of the game were divisive, particularly the combat, but overall, I think it's awesome. Can't wait to play more.

Recorded a bit of Disgaea for the PS2 video. Played a bit more on my own time. Then I played a bit more. Uh oh, I'm still playing it. Something about the min-maxing in this game and the customization is tickling my brain. That, and the characters are super cute. I'm falling down the rabbit hole.

The PlayStation 2 retrospective's script has finally been written! At around 24,000 words, it will be the longest console retrospective so far.

So if I made another video about something other than a game... How does Fullmetal Alchemist sound? For a while, it was my all-time favourite manga or anime. My brother and I really bonded over it. I know it's probably been talked about to death, but I still have a lot I want to say.

In Donkey Kong Bananza, Pauline's idle animations evolve over the course of the game as she learns to be more comfortable around DK. In the beginning, she looks around worriedly. After Sublayer 300, she starts ruffling his hair, and after Sublayer 1400, starts tickling him.

In Mario Kart World, NPCs will park their cars, exit them, and walk around. However, the game does not actually keep track who each car belongs to. As such, a different NPC than the owner may drive away with a car, seemingly stealing it.

I'll tell you what the best thing about modern social media is, though. Since I've been using it, I've been able to see artists thrive and find their audiences, all on their own. It's incredible. If you just want a site to embody that feeling, Newgrounds is still around, and is still awesome.

Been thinking about something lately. Even though this site is a huge improvement over X (the everything app), I think centralized social media platforms really just aren't for me. I see a lot of people seeking validation from strangers on here rather than actual discussion. Long live forums, bro.

I can't stop thinking about the BS YouTube has pulled. Lots of channels have had their views be cut in half and they refuse to explain anything. I was told in an email that the age verification system would have a "minimal impact" on most channels. Clearly, that has not been the case.

This PS2 video is going to be LONG, but I ultimately think it'll make for my favourite console retrospective so far. I'm doing as much as I can to stay on top of recommendations, but the PS2 is so vast that I have to decide what I find personally relevant to the console, even if the games are good.

Probably my favourite part of working on this PS2 video so far is playing the old GTA games. Every time I fire up a new playthrough of Vice City, I get hit with a euphoric dose of Mr. Mister while Sonny's talking. TAKE THESE BROKEN WINGS AND LEARN TO FLY AGAIN, LEARN TO LIVE SO FREE

The Metroid Prime Hunters video is basically finished, just waiting on some things before I can release it! As for me, I was going to release a massive update video detailing my game plan from here on out, but now that I've settled in, I'm realizing that I'm probably fine to continue as always.
