Mach's debut has gotta be one of the best secondary Rider introductions in all of Kamen Rider. He's showboating the whole time, gets all these fucking fireworks going, you know right away the kind of guy Gou is. It's kind of a long clip, but it's worth every second.

I still fucking love Necrom's transformation. The voice of the Mega Uloader really sells it, but everything about it is cool. It's a shame knowing that outside of this arc, Necrom's gonna spend most of the show eating shit, so savor the awesome while it lasts.

There it is, the single coolest suit in all of Ghost. And that really is an accomplishment, since Ghost is full of great suits.

Yeah, just milk Akari's one character trait for all it's worth, no matter how little sense it makes when ghosts objectively exist and her best friend has been a ghost for months now.

And so, 12 episodes in, we are, more or less, right back where we started. 10 years later, I still have no clue why they decided to rush through Takeru's first 99 day limit just to reset it so early. Like, him hitting the end of that limit could have worked as a mid show thing.

Boost is relatively low on the list for me as far as Rider upgrade forms go, but this first shot of it through the fire is pretty damn awesome.

Every time Javert's on screen all I can see is GekiChopper but lame.

Okay, this shot of looking through the Ghost Driver while Specter and Ghost start up their finishers is pretty damn cool.

It's very amusing to me that just a couple of episodes ago Takeru was deathly (ha) afraid of Specter showing up, and now he's just kind of annoyed. Like, the point of episode 7 was him getting over that fear, so it makes sense, it's just funny.

I decided I'm gonna pair my Ghost rewatch with a rewatch of Kamen Rider Drive, for no reason other than I just really want to watch Drive again.

Ah, the first "Ore wa Tenkuuji Takeru," of very, very many.

Another aspect of Ghost I can't praise enough is its opening. Even when I was in my biggest phase of being a pain in the ass and really trashing this show, I couldn't say anything bad about the opening.

Whether or not my opinion the show itself ends up changing, Ghost's jingles and aesthetic are both incredible.

From rewatching a Rider show I love and appreciating it even more than before, right into rewatching a show I didn't like and seeing if I enjoy it more this time around. Time for Kamen Rider Ghost.

Be The One is a pretty solid Kamen Rider movie. It's no Surprise Future, but that's a pretty high bar, anyway. It's a pretty good time overall, and I'm always down for a reminder that Sento and Banjo really are a best match.

Hell yeah, Cross-Z Build.

Evol Black Hole is cool, toku suits in the rain are cool, Evol Black Hole in the rain might just be the coolest thing I've ever seen.

Yeah, Kamen Rider Build still absolutely rules. I might even love it more on this rewatch than I did the first time around. Now to finally check out all the extra movies and stuff.

You know, I somehow managed forget that Evolt destroyed the fucking moon.

This hurts real bad because I know what's gonna happen, but Kazumi's transformation into Grease Blizzard is still one of the absolute hypest moments in all of Kamen Rider.

No, Another Build isn't until the next show, Gentoku. You're jumping the gun.

Kamen Rider Stronger (1975) Episode 8

One more for the road, emotions means Evolt is capable of genuine cruelty and sadism, and because it's Evolt, he's going to enjoy doing it.

This is another moment that sets up Evolt as a top tier villain. He gains human emotions and instead of learning something like empathy or kindness, it just makes him so much worse. Now he can, and does, truly enjoy the awful things he does.

This was some bullshit, though. It felt like Grease was finally gonna get his upgrade by using the Dragon Sclashjelly and it just turns out to give him a second Twin Breaker. They did make up for it later, but at the time this was infuriating.

I remember there being a lot of mixed opinions, to put it lightly, when goofy Gentoku happened, but I don't know, I've never had a problem with it. They give a good reason in story for why he's so different, plus his goofiness is pretty entertaining, in my opinion.

Oh boy, now Evolt's got the big guns. He's already way up there, but Black Hole form really ends up placing among the most powerful, intimidating Rider villains. And, once again, this suit fucking rules.

With the knowledge of some revelations from later in Build, Evolt saying he's killed thousands is an incredibly conservative estimate.

Fuck yeah, the moment I have been waiting for this entire rewatch. Kamen Rider Evol is here. This is such a good fucking suit, fitting for an incredible villain.

Cross-Z Magma's cool as hell and all, but seeing its debut again is just reminding me of when the Cross-Z Magma Figuarts announcement had "My magma gets fucked!" as part of the automatic translation.

Kamen Rider Rogue's transformation is still so damn cool. The Jaws style music, the scream, the fuckin' suit, I lost my goddamn mind when this first aired. Why aren't there more crocodile themed Kamen Riders?

Man, it's been the better part of a decade and I'm still disappointed we didn't actually get to see TurtleWatch in the show.

I love that they use the Build Driver's jingle as almost a question to Sento himself. Are you ready to fight again after what's happened? Are you ready to try and overcome it?

Sento going back to where Aoba died to pay respects is another good moment. He looks like he's barely holding himself together and even hallucinates Aoba. Atsuhiro Inukai is really selling Sento's haggard state here.
