Was Bannon/US keen on a Johnson PM because May’s Chequers Plan would have allowed negotiation on a replacement returns agreement equivalent to Dublin, thereby avoiding the ‘Boris wave’/ small boats issue? Was the migrant crisis engineered to give Farage something to mobilise the far-right with?

Le Pen and Farage are old friends. They were both MEPs together. They took money from the EU, but did no work for it in return. Le Pen has since been convicted for embezzlement. It's time Farage's finances were put under the microscope too.

What a difference a few years make, eh Wes? My view on a possible Streeting challenge? The timing will prove it to be wholly self serving, his links to Mandy will be an issue and in terms of leaning, he’d make Starmer look like McDonnell (but it’d read as continuity) and we’d be back at square one.
