Every senior commander of a law enforcement agency needs to do the same and call this 💩 out and refuse to cooperate with ICE. DHS does not recognize the rule of law and as such, ICE officers are routinely violating citizens’ rights and engaging in criminal behavior.

“My own morality” justification coming from the man who has been convicted of fraud, found liable for sexual abuse, instigated an insurrection, and is ALL OVER the Epstein files - that bar couldn’t be lower than if it was in hell.

Absolutely!! I want to know how many hours of training they are required to complete, what topics are covered, and who is responsible for the delivery of the training. Given that there is NO hiring criteria for applicants, it isn’t surprising training is an afterthought.

So according to SCOTUS it would seem that states have the right to ban gender affirmative care that professional organizations support but do not have the right to ban conversion therapy that professional organizations condemn. Professional expertise literally has no legitimacy anymore.

When young people can’t find work, that’s when crime gets bred, nurtured, and fed. Everybody wants a “safer city,” but you don’t get there by just adding more cops. You get there by addressing the economic (and systemic) roots of crime.

I can’t begin to express how angry I am over this, and this is just one example of the cruelty these officers have inflicted on children and their families. ICE has done irreparable damage to the profession of policing and police-community relations.
