Calling your political opponents enemies of the nation and claiming you can only lose if the system is rigged isn't strength. It's the language of authoritarianism. Democracy means accepting opposition, elections and dissent, even when you don't like the outcome.

Millions are losing food assistance and healthcare while tax cuts for the wealthy remain untouched and military spending keeps rising. A society should be judged by how it treats the people with the least power not by how much it rewards those with the most.

When the media starts throwing around the word "socialism" in panic, it's often less about what a movement actually stands for and more about warning people not to challenge the people already in power.

The rise of dem socialist candidates shows people are looking for something different. Millions are moving left. More people are realizing the system is not working for them. I question the DSA's strategy of working through the Democrats who will contain that movement rather than achieve socialism
