Partway thru listening, my read is that "What did the lawyers say?" was dismissive, followed by dude saying what *he* thinks, not waiving a/c priv.
That said, whew, there was NO upside in doing this interview. He throws the product team under the bus, for them (and all his other employees) to hear!
