The turkeys are about halfway done, and the mashed potatoes are ready. Mac and cheese is next up for the oven, then the scalloped potatoes and rolls. Got a few more sides to prep on the stove, and I'm sure I'll fit a vegetable in there somewhere.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

I dreamt briefly of #Hathor last night. She was the Egyptian goddess of love, joy, music, and motherhood. She was also a protector of the dead, guiding them safely into the afterlife. This is one of my all time favorite and best pieces IMHO, and very appropriate to my life personally right now. ♥️

Decided to draw this today to plan a watercolor painting for my partner's parents. This is just one half of the painting. There will be another mini-painting, approximately 4.5 inches x 6.5 inches, featuring fireflies on the other half of the paper. I don't often draw or paint flowers or bugs.

My boyfriend took me to Detroit today to check out the art museum. Ate at a Burger Bar nearby that was very good. We also stopped at Blick, and he got me replacement Copics for the few I had that kept drying out, even after refills/nib swaps. ~A fantastic day with my amazing guy.

Boyfriend is at Costco getting the last couple of things to make Thanksgiving dinner. I'm excited to host, since one guest is from India and has never experienced Thanksgiving. And I don't think either of them has experienced MST3k Turkey Day. I found a marathon with Sinbad and Manos.

Growing up, my brother once told me that his personal sign that he 'made it in life' would be owning a bidet. And the petty part of me is mad I don't get to rub it in his face now that I got the bidet first. Maybe that should be my Christmas Card to him this year.

the only good thing about genAI is that it got me to really love seeing bad art, because I know a person put in time and effort, made themselves vulnerable by showing it to others, and is trying to improve. I value that more than anything now

I got to talk to his mom for the first time the other day, and revealed that I was behind the questions he had been asking his mom and dad about what they enjoyed about Michoacán and Chihuahua. She figured it was for a project he was working on. Nope, it's for my gift project for her, haha.
