I know I covered Absolute Batman on the channel quite recently, but there's a fascinating video to be made about how much it's in conversation with Miller and TDKR. They're both very much reflective of their eras and contexts, but also similar in many interesting ways.

At their core, both Miller and Snyder's Batmen are countercultural crusaders fighting an oppressive, unjust system. That looks different when done in the mid-1980s vs today (and also Snyder's Bruce being 20ish whereas Miller's was 55), but it's an interesting topic to consider.

I don't really go here but, when the conversation around sonic.exe stuff shifted from like, scary story that just uses sonic stuff basically as a background, to "y'know a lot of sonic characters would probably put up a pretty good fight against him" it became like a million times more interesting
