Last year Bruce Harrell proposed a 0.1% sales tax for public safety, approved without a public vote. The King County Council took the exact same vote, and is poised to adopt another 0.1% sales tax in a few days. The 0.15% proposed increase for bus service is getting a very different reaction.

I am very proud of our King County coverage at @theurbanist.org, given the fact that it's a level of government that doesn't get enough attention.

Yesterday evening there was a collision in Burien btwn a driver in a pickup and two pedestrians (presumably, per scanner, a mother & child) at S 112th St & Des Moines Memorial Dr S.
