At the Jan 12th meeting, my fellow Councilmembers selected me to serve as Mayor for the next 2 years. We are a council-manager city, so being Mayor does not give me sweeping, different powers, but will add an additional set of duties. CM @hugo4burien.bsky.social was selected as Deputy Mayor.

The Burien Severe Weather Shelter is open this week and in need of volunteers.
