I'm increasingly inclined to Dr. Jessica Knurick's view that MAHA only exists to put a respectable veneer on MAGA's anti-health agenda. They celebrate a banned food dye while the Administration trashes pollution controls, encourages coal burning and strips health insurance. It's all a lie.

A MAHA worth shit would actively oppose this. Cars < bicycles for health at every conceivable level. Accidents. Pollution. Sitting. Commutes. Green space.

I have mixed feelings about this interview. On the one hand, I felt like I was talking a bit out of my ass at many points. OTOH, it’s because I genuinely don’t know the answers to @aaronrosspowell.com’s questions. But I think that’s the mark of a good interviewer and worthwhile conversation.

None of this is to say that Evangelical Christianity, or even Christianity writ large, is or has been a net-positive on the world. The jury’s still out on that question, imo. It’s just to say that it hasn’t been a totally unmitigated disaster, either.
