When I called my reps about this list I asked (among other things) that the language cover everyone, all immigrants, not just US citizens. It did not seem like they were hearing that much! So if you need a prompt for your rep calls, maybe that? (FTR I want ICE gone forever. This is a bare start.)

I’m taking today off from book work for today’s National Day of Action. I have a couple hours before today’s protest at the state house, so let’s see how far I get on this piece to (hopefully, eventually) raise funds for Providence Community Libraries.

Auction starts Thursday and proceeds go to legal aid, emergency assistance, food, and community resources to those in urgent need. Crits, visits, art, and more! Wildly proud to be part of this unstoppable, responsive community. And next time I hope I’ll be quick enough to offer an item for bid!

Got to use JooHee’s gorgeous book 100 Birds of Rhode Island to assure myself that the robin I saw is probably a robin.

Today I learned that many robins do stay put for the winter (although it seems like it’s climate change related?) and that they’re a type of thrush. Anyway it was a treat to see this guy on my little run around my neighborhood today and to not slip and fall on the ground while looking for birds.
