Today we released the 2026 Death on the Job report, exposing the real human cost of weakened workplace safety protections. More than 380 workers die each day from hazardous job conditions in America. Workers’ lives should never be sacrificed.

On Workers Memorial Day, America’s unions mourn the workers who have lost their lives or been injured or made ill on the job. Every worker should be able to go home after their shift safe and healthy, and we’ll keep fighting like hell to make that a reality for every worker.
