The iconic Elizabeth Taylor was #BOTD in 1932. The late actor was a star of classic Hollywood cinema and had a 7-decades long career filled with legendary films such as 'National Velvet' and 'Cleopatra' and HIV/AIDS awareness advocacy. She received the SAG Life Achievement Award in 1997.

Happy 96th birthday, Joanne Woodward! 🎂 The film, TV and stage actor was known for her complex characters and depth of work. Together with her husband, Paul Newman, she received the 22nd SAG Life Achievement Award in 1985. #BOTD

A trailblazing performer, the late Sidney Poitier was #BOTD in 1927. The actor/director/producer changed our industry for the better, leaving a profound impact on those who knew him and those who have watched his work. He received the SAG Life Achievement Award in 1999.

We are heartbroken by the passing of Eric Dane, a #SagAftraMember since 1991. He inspired audiences and colleagues alike, and faced ALS with courage and a commitment to advocacy. His legacy will endure. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and fans.
