The fact that the free market approach to health care has resulted in such extreme levels of tragedy has really scrambled people's brains that it cannot possibly be appropriate to supply other things

People somewhat reasonably assume that the rules governing our built environments are built on careful assessment of the best available science and rigorous analysis of tradeoffs but in reality it's like 85% vibes.

if you are a US citizen doing nothing illegal the people sneering/screaming/scolding that you shouldn't do this are confusing their own mental illness with Opsec.

Itโs extremely funny because the online fringe canโt decide if No Kings is either a terrifying brush with death or a do-nothing wine mom fake protest, and it becomes kind of clear after a while they just feel angst about stuff happening in reality

It's time for clear eyed thinking about the potential for the large-scale destruction of public transit in American cities. It could happen in the next two years. Thread... 1/

If I were programming AI with the express goal of making humans feel helpless, I would begin by summarizing everyone's emails in the passive voice. (The email being summarized said: "Thanks!")

Will people finally believe me when I say elected Democrats regard their base voters, with their incessant demand to do things and fix things, as the primary antagonist to wrestle away, and the Republican Party as a distant and immutable force, like the weather?

Almost 800,000 people on here are following a totally-not-real account claiming it's a group of rogue park workers and who are now posting cryptic nonsense to make it seem like they're sending messages to the deep state. Also they're selling resistance merch. WTF are we doing man?

What would a TV ad promoting alternatives to driving look like? What if people who love cycling and progressive transportation reclaimed ideas like freedom, independence and even patriotism? We decided to give it a shot. Check out our new video, "America, It's Just Like Riding a Bike."

Climate change requires a two-pronged response: disinvestment from the sources of harm and climate-resilient placemaking. Much of the destruction in LA is coming from hills and other high-risk areas with sprawling suburbs. Density keeps folks away from danger and enables a more effective response.
