It’s finally hit me WHY I’m loving Baby Steps, despite my constant setbacks and fuck ups. It has everything I love about Souls/Elden Ring - the mysterious strange interconnected world, the exploration, the weird characters… but not the thing that truly frustrates me - the combat.

I restarted Baby Steps yesterday as I lost the cup (I ended up losing it a second time so I’m going on without it for now) and I wasn’t sure if it was a fully open world, so was unsure if the Pee Hole was the same one I encountered the first attempt. I now realise it was.

S2E5 of The Last of Us watched. Please HBO, don’t fuck this up, so far it remains the best video game adaptation ever made. I know that’s a relatively low bar, but it really is a brilliant series and still would be even if the games didn’t exist.
