One of our parents at school has loaned me this by Jenny Pearson and I can't put it down. Great storytelling and I love the characters. Going to order some for school for our Year 6 to support WW2 topic learning📚

Finished The Countdown Killer at the wekend and cross at myself for reading it so fast! Perfectly tying up threads from the series... it probably says something about me when out of *everything* that happens it was the funeral in Chapter 79 that was the hardest to read. @samhollandbooks.bsky.social

First day of half term holidays and although I made it, I have spent the day napping on the sofa and trying not to cough up a lung. Finished this though. So powerful and unforgettable. I don't know why it has taken me so long to bring it from my TBR pile. 📚

I have read this as J is reading it as Book of the Month at sch and we are doing it together. Michael Morpurgo never fails in his storytelling to capture emotions and those emotions spill out of my eyes. A beautiful, beautiful story.

Not sure playing this is leading to a chill Sunday before back to school and work. There have been tears and an alliance formed. Turns out that a cute Grogu theme does not mean less Monopoly drama!

I have just finished this and loved being back in Lake Pristine. This gorgeous story seems effortless...just pure joy to be with the characters that I was effortlessly all in with from Chapter 1. An addictive read that had my heart! In my head Jonah is Miles Teller in Footloose😊

Love Spurn so much. Crashing waves and treasure hunting. Found some lovely fossils and c was delighted to find part of a cold war bakelite practice bomb case!

As usual in half term I had a massive list of jobs and DIY I wanted to do. My brain meant I couldn't stop til done. Now I am having some time alternating between the new @mglnrd.bsky.social which I told my class I would have finished and the new YA from @ellemcnicoll.bsky.social . Lucky, lucky me!📚

One of my children today told me she had managed to finish a book so quickly because she had "prioritised reading" January and February have had me...I need to get my reading priorities sorted and get back on it!📚

Thank you Our Bookshop Tring and @mglnrd.bsky.social for a fab author visit. There were squeals of excitement when I opened this today. I felt like I was giving out treasure to those who had ordered one And the class copies are already on loan with a big group reading them on the playground!📚

A poignant and heartfelt rhyming story about grief and loss, I think this book has broken me today😢 A beautiful accompaniment to Hare Shaped Hole by John Dougherty and Thomas Docherty and a must have for helping children deal with loss and building empathy. Thought I would have a quiet coffee, relax and start the new thriller by @natalisimmonds.bsky.social while kids still asleep. I am only on Chapter 3 and I have got flashback anxiety and rage....the sleepless nights, the playgroups, the expected roles!! Hooked!

Really pleased with this year's results. Target was 100 and it is normally two thirds "children's" books and one third adult books. Let's go 2025!📚

Finished this book today so that counts as my 1st book read for 2025! I disliked Avery with a passion. I am not dead inside but it is fantastic characerisation by Shari Lapena . Small town paranoia and mistrust as people's secrets are uncovered. Loved it!
