Yesterday was a good day. Lunch with the brilliant fantasy author (and friend) Alexandra Christo, then cake and tea while I wrote the last chapter of my 5th thriller (out next year)!!

I've been talking to a variety of schools and associations this new term about the lectures and workshops I offer (if you're an educator in and around London, do hit me up). Looking at these photos is making me smile. I know many authors hate the limelight but I bloody love an audience!!

Love getting tagged in positive reviews about GOOD GIRLS DIE LAST - but considering the book is feminist af, it especially means a lot when the reviews are from men 💖

Never has anything resonated with me more. There are two types of people in this world. I promise that if you are bold and brave enough to live your life to the fullest, the world and everyone in it will suddenly appear to be so much better than before!

Facebook reminding me that 4 years ago today I had a different agent, who liked 4 of my MG ideas, that became two books, that got nowhere. Now I have a different (brilliant) agent and I don't write manga or kids books and I'm doing great with my thrillers. Don't stagnate, people. Keep on moving 🩷

For lunch I made myself spicy med veg quinoa, avocado, halloumi, dolma, and homemade hummus. I hate edits so much I will literally spend ages faffing about in the kitchen, cleaning the house, and doing admin so as not to do edits. Got to get back to them now though... can't avoid them any longer 🤣
