I finally had a chance to play Villagesong by Vee of @storybrewersroleplaying.com and it was delightful. I knew the game was well designed when reading it, but the play was absolutely fabulous.

Fantastic second session of @storybrewersroleplaying.com with @omnihedron.co.uk this morning - our mixed doubles brother and sister team lost in the semis, but reached some sort of bond as a family. This is a fantastic game, with amazing techniques that just drive story. Sports with feelings ftw!

Running a ttrpg is harder than most folks credit, not because you have to make up stuff, but because you gotta manage 5 people's hearts & minds. 'Fight with Spirit' by @storybrewersroleplaying.com is great design. Do what the game tells youand the drama emerges. It encourages you to play hard, plunging your allies into trouble, to give you a greater chance of victory when it matters. Next up, Jessica's former team, the Southbeach Sharks!

Here's something not everyone might agree with: I don't think an rpg can teach you to play collaboratively. It can do a lot to help for sure! But I think that you ultimately have to learn that from other people. Shout out to everyone who helped me learn how great collaborative play can be 🧡

Sometimes I'm asked if I'm proud of games I design. The answer is not really-I'm never satisfied enough for that. I think my positive feeling towards them is more like affection. They contain little emotional pieces of me so really it's recognition and acceptance of self. Anyone else feel similar?

Had a delightful time playing a solo game of Saltfish and Almanacs by @storybrewers.bsky.social. My merchant completed his last season before he retires. He did a lot of introspection about his life, shared his wisdom with folks he met and returned home feeling finally at peace. #ttrpg #ausrpg

This game is great! I have very fond memories of playtesting this, and I think that the way it handles grief and the sheer amount of administration that a person leaves behind when they die is pretty special
