Steadily working my way through Divine Divinity and it reminds me a lot of Sacred. Increasingly curious if Larian will return to this weird combo of ARPG and CRPG with the new game or stick to the turn-based combat that's been so successful for them with OS and BG3.

You cannot overstate how startling it is to see a politician just say the thing with clarity and poise. No fearful hemming. No overwrought qualifying down til it’s meaningless. No lingering sense that there is a loyalty to a donor class or an ideology of stasis that they’d never admit to.

Still thinking about the finale of TBT. Honestly, if they want to get more people in theaters to see it, they should maybe post *that scene* on socials sooner rather than later.

My other big thought watching TBT was that when I was younger, my esteem of most movies was weighted towards the sharpness of their dialogue and what they convey via their script vesus nowadays I am so much more prone to be moved by the awesome power of imagery alone.

I've harped on congressional war powers for a long time and we do need to fix all that, but threatening to invade Greenland while ranting at Norway about the Nobel Peace Prize and imposing trade sanctions on NATO is more the kind of thing you can only fix by not having a literally insane president.

For all the umming and ahhing that Cameron is doing about Avatar 4 and 5, I do think those movies will happen because even with diminishing returns it seems way more likely that Disney will greenlight more Avatar before throwing anything original into its end of year blockbuster slot.
