The S3PF Command is filled with unique characters all going about their work. Between missions Klo will be able to discuss the ongoing VRmin threat to the city with the other officers as well as learning more about their personal lives.

Took another run at the lighting and I think we might have finally nailed the style we were always aiming for. Here's a little bit of combat in the Goliath Basements to show off how it looks in motion.

Starting to blockout the cutscene that introduces Amorpheus and the Dream Eaters plotting against the city. Super rough right now, but I'm still liking the overall vibe.

We've been working on new cutscenes this year and it made us take another run at the lighting in the rest of the project. This feels like a pretty major overhaul for the look, but I think it really helps the style of the world stand out.

The S3PF Command or Shadow Moses Nuclear Disposal Facility? We just spent the last week doing a big lighting overhaul on some of the environments to try and capture the original inspirations a bit better. Starting to feel pretty good about how this recalibration of the lighting style is going.

What if we made a gross organic gun as a late game weapon?

Sellers of contraband materials and rogue hackers make their home in the infamous Broadcast Bazaar, a black market hidden away in the Industrial Sectors of Sydney3.

The fight against Corpse Processor in the demo has three distinct phases showing off all his tricks. Don't be fooled by his weakened stance in the last phase, that is when his most dangerous abilities come out.

If you don't take out VRmin efficiently, situations can easily spiral out of control. Klo has the training to survive difficult scenarios like that, but you will need to make use of all her skills.

The prowler is fast and hits hard enough to break Unicorn's guard, but quickly removing a limb will make it relatively harmless.

The TUSK Motor Club have a deep obsession with anything that spews smoke and races across the old roads on rubber.

All police operations throughout Sydney3 are coordinated and processed at the S3PF Command by the countless administrative officers and analytical departments.

Even though the game is still in the early stages of development, we wanted to explore how flexible Klo's design is by making a whole bunch of looks for her. We just love bonus costumes that much.

The Crowd Suppression Rifle is best used with short, controlled bursts to quickly stop rapidly approaching hordes of VRmin that might overwhelm you with slower firing weapons.

What could be more Sydney3 than a militarised police force, bin chickens and bin-lid stand?

Fight your way through the Goliath Offices demo and not only will you face off against Corpse Processor (the first Dream Eater boss), but you will also be treated to a whole bunch of voiced cutscenes that the team have been eager to show off.

Sydney3 has some pretty iconic trains. Which one do you think we need to add to the game next?

No one is really certain where the VRmin Plague originated, but they do know it is spread by the parasitic creatures known as VRmites. Efforts to eradicate the nests popping in the lower levels has been increasingly difficult in recent months.

Thanks to the Hardsuit Program and pilots like Zoe Lancer, S3PF injuries at pedestrian checkpoints have decreased by 20 percent. There is no concrete evidence supporting claims that civilian causalities have spiked since the deployment of the Hardsuits in populated areas.

Everyone in the lower levels of Sydney3 knows that patrol officers become increasingly desperate to fill quotas before the end of year. This dramatic uptick in arrests is colloquially known as Swooping Season.

S3PF have declared Faux/Pass a high-level threat to the city after numerous mass hacking incidents targeting Goliath and other subsidiaries controlled by the Corporate Council.

We're currently working on new enemy types that we hope will really mix up the flow of combat. Here's a look at one of the animations @poppystar.bsky.social has been hard at work on for the VRmin Sentry.

Not all of our concepts are shirty whiteboard sketches! These days we are very fortunate to be working with @ridgelowis.bsky.social on new character art for future hub areas.

When VRmites are unable to find a suitable host, they will form together into a pile of limbs and biomass in order to survive. The resulting creature is quite slow, but can easily overwhelm and smother unsuspecting victims.

The personnel at S3PF Command come from all walks of life. Some have a complicated history with Klo, while others kind of resent her, and then there's June... The sweetest lady in the whole organisation.

If you've played the demo, you might have already seen Mister Grey, but we've yet to show the Dream Eater he serves in-game. This year I'm hoping that we'll finally get to reveal our cast of villains in their own introductory cutscene...

On the topic of "pre-concept art" and GenAI... If you aren't prepared to draw like this and then send to an actual artist to work with, you have no business creatively leading a project. End of story.
