Great piece; theres compelling character work in bits of Hades 2 but it feels like it's setting up a turn that never comes. It feels like a story written backwards from its mechanics, but in a way that comes out arguably worse than the first one

Started a new save in Hades 2 and have been making good progress. The 'blessing' you receive for progressing quickly has definitely been responsible for ending my fights against the fourth boss at least three times now? I just rarely come out of that fight unscathed unless boons really align.

V FOR VENDETTA is a really strong comic book and if your impression of it is only through the film and the aftermath I really think you owe it to yourself to read the comic and sit with it as a standalone thing.
