Wow, Epic says early access to UE6 is targeting end of 2027 but they aren’t planning any new UE5 releases after 5.8 (shipping today). That would mean no new release for at least 18 months, whereas historically we’ve gotten a new release about once every 6 months. Are you surprised ?

I'm bringing MetaHumans to Godot and even VR!

I call it UnRealityKit. It's a UE5 + RealityKit bridge for Apple Vision Pro. All those things you can't do in Unreal Engine for AVP due to Metal: eye tracking, standard gesture controls, room lighting & reflections, volumes, fully utilizing the M2/M5 chip... all possible now.

My friend lost her SNAP and now her family usually struggles the last week or two of each month, more than before. Her and her dad are legitimately disabled. If I believed in God and Hell, hell would simply not be enough to urge repentance with these people. May they suffer psychological torture.

This week I dove into building with Godot and it's been wonderfully satisfying. I'll give a full update with my progress related to character animation, VR, Vision Pro, raytracing, physics tests, adding new features, and more, but for the moment, seeing a little message like this just made my day !

We're using a heck of a lot of Claude Pro Max right now, but very much to train local LLMs. Frontier models are going to become super expensive in the not too distant future and if you don't want to get priced out, now is the time to get the free models trained up to do what you want them to.

really can't be said enough that this case was decided by the same court that decided plessy v. ferguson. if they could have found a plausible rationale to limit birthright citizenship they would have done it. but there is none! the text is as clear as constitutional language can be.
