I do not recommend the PSVR2 because it's very uncomfortable to wear, but $330 for the PSVR2 and controller dock is crazy affordable. You'll still probably spend $30+ on a PCVR adapter but still....

Find yourself a good nerd group where they live in dark rooms with only the light of their RGB fans. Those are the best roommates. Bonus points if they use Linux and play VR. Negative points if they don't like 3d printing or think Overwatch is fun in 2026.

Here's an update for all 2 of you who asked about my VR green room space from so many years ago.

I see so many people getting into VR now and they have so much content to consume it'll never get fully explored and they don't have to pay even half what I paid for that content when it came out. The hardware is also cheaper and in many ways easier to use. We have a lot more people in the scene now

I wish ARC Raiders had some PVE or coop modes/maps. I really want a horde mode map that has you survive as long as you can with option to coop with people. The game world lends itself well to that kind of gameplay. They should also give me a chainsaw gun. 😘

ARC Raiders is quickly becoming my number one game this year, but I'm waiting for the expedition reset before I play it much more. Might hop on a couple times to get my inventory value up, but it's hard to justify sinking hours into the game that will just end up being pointless after the reset.

Listened to a podcast about people just now getting into VR and it being the best thing ever and they haven't even played HL Alyx or Boneworks yet. They've played No Man's Sky, though... so at least they played *something* semi-decent. Still, not even Beat Saber? Wtf are you making podcasts for? 🤔

I'm gonna move my play room around soon in a major way. Probably not today because wife wants to play some games after work, but soon.

Last night in ARC Raiders, we had a rough round where we saw the cold snap mode was on again and we hadn't played that in weeks, so we decided to load into it, and almost immediately ran into another party and were friendly and they seemed friendly, even saying things like "Oh, we're just looting."

TIL: In #ARCRaiders, you can attach one end of a zipline to a carryable object and carry the object around and make funny physics happen. What I wonder: Can you also connect the other end of the zipline to another object that can also be carried? If so, can players ride it while the line changes?

Why does the YouTube app randomly dim and wash out videos nowadays? It used to work perfectly but for the past few months, it's been washing out videos and to fix it, I have to close the app and reopen it.
