When someone tries to explain an alternative view of a problem, I at least humor the idea and read what they have to say. When shutting down their idiotic take, I explain why it's wrong. I don't just say they're wrong. If I can't explain, then I question my belief that something is wrong.

Micro Center's warranties are awesome. There's the standard warranty from the manufacturer, that's fine, but if you get the store's extended warranty, they not only replace your purchase (or you can swap it) but will price match it to current sales and give the excess funds to you as store credit.

The reason I got into web design was the same reason I got into game development: Macromedia Flash. Sigh. 😔 I thought web design was going to involve making full screen animations with autoplay ambient noise and sound effects on buttons.

The worst thing about being a web developer is having to follow a bunch of rules blindly because you, the expert, aren't the one they listen to when determining if something is secure or accessible. They order you to follow a ruleset very rigidly and then you're like "But we don't need that rule."

I love my job, but it hasn't raised with inflation enough, and the same can be said about my wife's whole career. She's severely underpaid as a teacher. I'm fortunate to be able to jump to another job every few years if I need to, but she's mostly stuck.
