Getting stuck causes players to explore the world. Dying causes players to think about what they're doing. An "impossible" situation causes players to learn how the game works and eventually achieve the impossible. We need to be able to design *some* games around these fundamental ideas.

We started watching Steven Universe, since my kiddo was so into the music. She frequently gets scared while watching, but she also insists upon continuing. What a brave kid. "Stronger Than You" is the point where I truly fell in love with the show years ago. Still hits hard upon rewatch.

In the FFT story battle where you save Orran from ruffians, it took a few tries to both rob the enemies blind and keep Orran alive. But I got it! But then Orran's Celestial Stasis ability caused the game to crash?! But! Then! It turns out the new version saves mid-battle! I lost no progress!!
