The ADHD/autism private provider space has exploded in recent years with some publicly funded via the Right to Choose framework. Which can lead to profit chasing and rushed outcomes. How are standards maintained in this space? Seems ripe for abuse, hurting patients and straining NHS services.

A really interesting read by @himal.bsky.social the journey to assessment with long waits is not acceptable but for me neither is filling the gap with remote services who can’t deal with “the complex” humans are complex by nature and face to face assessments should be available for all #Autism #ADHD

We're now expecting NHS staff to work long days doing mentally demanding jobs without even access to DAYLIGHT, whilst btw, also removing their break rooms. I don't think most people outside the service understand just how inhuman some of the conditions are. We have 100k NHS vacancies for a reason.
