Motivated by my port of Moon Child to the Dreamcast, I had to figure out a way of burning CDI files to bootable homebrew discs on the console on the Mac... so I made a thing! dcdib-mac is a macOS tool for burning homebrew software to CDs that boot on the Sega Dreamcast.

Bebhionn had a weird rendering bug that was affecting timing of the songs and making the render not accurate with hardware. I just fixed it and also added more channels :) As usual, it's hosted at

And based on the SDL fork for Moon Child, I am porting it to the Sega Dreamcast! Almost everything works, but rendering is still a little slow so that needs some work. But I even put our FRIEND's face on the VMU!

Released the "Snail Maze+ for WonderSwan" source code and a new release build! An example project of sorts for using Wonderful Toolchain and programming the WonderSwan, certainly not a masterpiece in terms of design, structure, etc., but maybe still helpful to someone trying to get started! :3

Seibu Cup Soccer is flagged as "not working" in MAME, due to unemulated protection. It does boot up and run. Once a soccer match starts, all the players except you and the goalies immediately flee the field. (The blue and red dots escape the minimap at the top center...and just keep going!)

My game engine on the Saturn is getting in decent shape so I started working on a level editor! Levels were already defined as JSON files (that then get converted to a binary format for the game), but a visual editor is way nicer than trying to edit levels via text.

This stuff is hard 🫠 But I got the DX7 converter to be way more compatible with the Sega Saturn chip, and a lot more patches now sound similar. Some sound wrong and some sound VERY WRONG, but it's a start.

I'm back to working on Bebhionn today, but not the tracker interface itself. I'm trying to get the script I wrote to convert DX7 patches to Bebhionn/Sega Saturn TON files to work. If that goes well, then we suddenly have access to hundreds of cool instruments to use for Sega Saturn music!

My game engine is moving on swiftly (for someone who had never written a turn based strategy game before, lol). I added some primitive AI, a dialog system for “cutscenes”, and turned the whole engine without rendering into a simulator so I can use it to fine tune some game elements.
