Great to hear! The Nature conservation site here did a study. Fenced off sections of forest had nice regrowth but nothing outside of fenced area. I have oak forest all around me and nothing underneath now .

Yes the forests recovered then. Sadly, now the deer predation from oversized herds is so bad all the seedlings are eaten so no new future trees. And of course the deer have spiked the number of tick diseases. And car collisions. A huge problem that we really are not addressing.

Last year I did as you do do and left in pots even though years before I put in ground. The difference was remarkable in that not nearly as many blooms. So I went back to putting them in ground. They are so happy

I planted all my amaryllis outside in garden and this one sent out blooms. Another bloom coming on this plant and another plant getting ready to bloom. They love being in good dirt and getting their bulb strong. After resting for a few months they will bloom nicely this winter.

Thanks for this informative video. I planted 2 pawpaws that didn’t make it last yr. This yr the nursery gave 2 more replacements. Both have some leaves but one has nothing on the branches just coming out of trunk. So glad to hear deer don’t like as I have a huge deer population.

Unfortunately deer love my coneflowers. And even though they are behind a deer fence now this year rabbits ate them to the ground.

I am seeing them every night too! I remember catching them as a kid and never realized they were also high up in the trees. But my deck is high up over a steep bank and so I look out into the tree tops and there they are ! Magical

7 years ago we planted several Littleleaf Lindon trees. They were supposed to have fragrant flowers very attractive to bees . Well finally I got flowers…. and bees! All over the trees

I am 75& gardened most of it. Big rose ( 365 at one point) and perennials. 10 yrs ago we moved to a new house in woods with a small garden. But then all the beech trees ( about 100’) got a disease. All were cut down. So in much of the space I wanted a natural easy native garden. Now addicted !
