Excellent news. And today the European Parliament ditches Google for French search firm Qwant over privacy concerns.

X is currently full of posts falsely naming Christi Hill and another officer as having arrested Henry Nowak. One names and pictures the other PC, saying, "Wanted: dead or alive". It gives his address. What more exactly will it take to get UK MPs, ministers and departments off that hellsite?

I have many issues with Keir Starmer. But his response to Nigel Farage in the House of Commons today was dignified, firm and quietly powerful. It exposed Farage for the shallow and heartless opportunist he is. Could we please see much more like this from the government.

The unbelievably telling bit here is that he accuses Badenoch and Davey of politicising it but not Farage. The agenda could not be clearer - and that’s no conspiracy theory. The BBC has expressly said it needs to make Reform voters feel more represented in its output and this it’s doing.

Incitement to riot is a serious criminal offence (Public Order Act 1986). So are encouraging/assisting offending, causing fear/provoking immediate violence, stirring up racial hatred, & terrorism (variously under POA 1986, Serious Crime Act 2007, Terrorism Act 2006 etc). Enforce the law.

When the father of a murdered son makes a public statement saying "we do not want his death to be used to create further division, hatred or tension", then I believe it's incumbent on any news outlet reporting on Farage's comments to ensure people know he has chosen to disregard the family's wishes.

That’s a bit presumptive. The EU also has a say, and while public and political thinking on the UKs relationship with the EU is not settled, I think the EU won’t want the hassle.

For those claiming that the long EU entry queues are the EU’s revenge for Brexit, remember that, when it was still in the EU, Britain supported & voted for the introduction of this EU Entry/Exit System (EES). The then (Tory) govt wanted more checks on those entering the EU. It then put us outside.
