Terry Cox as the foundation of "Space Oddity," told by Bowie to play whatever he liked, just make it fit. The isolated track shows how adventurous he got:

What an absolutely joyless bunch and a sad way to squander the amazing joy and energy of the World Baseball Classic. This team can piss up a rope, and are ample evidence that MLB players should be kept from participating in the Olympics. FOH with this vibe.

The most supported prevention protocol for teen suicides is treatment with DBT. It’s studied against suicide ATTEMPTS and non-suicidal self-harm. NOT completed suicides.

So, 20 completed suicides is JUST TOO SMALL a number to show anything other than a SUPER HUGE EFFECT! It would be like me saying, “I did a scientific poll of 20 people and can now say with certainty who will win the 2028 election. With a margin of error of +-50%.”

The study you keep coming back to, the BMJ study, had 20 suicide deaths. Quick and dirty math shows us via the Freedman Formula that to show: HUGE effect (double the risk) - 65 events Medium (50% increase) - 190 events Small (30%) - 460 events

Hey,
@benryanwriter.bsky.social
- I pointed out the glaring error in this analysis. NO SUICIDE PREVENTION PROTOCOL FOR TEENS IS STUDIED AGAINST COMPLETED SUICIDES!

recently used the term "perfect player" for Bobby Witt Jr. and I think that's right. He's the third-best player in baseball but he's "perfect" in ways that even Judge (defense) and Ohtani (doesn't play the field, slacker) aren't. Truly elite at everything. No one like him
