I think i’ve been fighting a bad mood the past few days, because i’ve been avoiding grappling with how I feel about my present circumstances for the nth time.

Other than my singular fixation on my fiction project; i really wonder what direction i should take my art. The things that used to be enjoyable have stopped. The stuff i’m good at is no longer creatively fulfilling. The stuff i do for my own enjoyment, has no real audience.

I guess rn i also feel really disconnected from a lot of things. From furry identity, from my career identity, from my creative works, from my sexuality. It’s funny how much a place you live and your job prospects affect practically everything else in your life.

I have been brainstorming a lot on the writing front however. There’s something to be said about writing fiction being something of a puzzle. You have all these pieces of ideas, and they need to come together in a way that makes sense and advances the plot. Even moreso when you’re working backward

I wish i could recommit myself to art right now. But the state of the world has drained what little drive I had for creative endeavours. And my real world employment situation is quite dire. So until conditions improve, it’ll be awhile before new creative works are forthcoming.

Continuing with being late to stuff by a decade (as is my style). The persona 5 animated series is actually pretty good. Both in animation, capturing the stylisation of the game’s graphic style, and the writing is pretty enjoyable so far. The theme song is very catchy.

I need to get out of the house this weekend istg. Three weeks cooped up due to the snow and I’m getting a little stir crazy.
