I think Nolan's Odyssey is just a port of the Greek epic to the North. Nothing in the trailer feels remotely Mediterranean. Instead, it’s dominated by dark, boring muddy colors, cold landscapes, trousers, medieval imagery, and even drakkars. It feels like a vikingization of the Mediterranean tale.

All the Odyssey movie “inaccurate” versus “who cares” arguments are both fun and exhausting. But the trailer shows them rowing a clinker built Viking ship. That is like depicting Columbus crossing the Atlantic in a Chinese junk.
