Apparently the city has no one who can direct traffic in an emergency. Fire at the end of our street, and cars kept trying to come down and getting stuck/giant traffic jams kept forming (two 1-lane, 2-way roads that empty onto our 1-way st, nowhere for people to go unless one side backs out).

Press coverage of this has, so far, been bad — a bunch of outlets seem to have googled "what is a generic medication" and then wrote their piece. Yes, most Rx filled in the US = generics, but the ~10% that aren't? A signficant portion of those are life-saving meds with no substitutes.
