I don’t want this point to be lost in the discourse. Going digital-only means inequity for people who cannot afford internet or constantly purchasing new games. Libraries provide opportunities for people to experience games they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford, and that will be lost.

People asking how I expect this to affect our game stores, so I'll try to summarize: 1. There will always be demand for games at inclusive price points 2. This decision very much affects which things can fall into those price points, & may push more phys games into "collectible" territory (cont)

increase is because of genuine interest or because of shrinking consumer purchasing power that drives them towards budget options. Bit of a brain dump off the top of my head, but in short, I'm not worried about this killing my stores: I'm worried about consumers having less options than ever.
