last night I dreamt about a show following the ambitious miseries of an ultra-wealthy family, as conducted by the toxic patriarch whose children vie for his approval in lieu of his love. each episode opened with a photo montage set to catchy piano. the title? Memorabillionaires.

something I think about a lot is how many conservatives, in the glow of WWII's Kodachrome patriotism, will agree that Nazis stink; it's just that they think we're talking about a vanished species. they can't or won't acknowledge that, like all infections, fascism develops resistant strains.
