The circumstances leading to the “spiral of distrust and destruction that followed George Floyd's murder” were quite different but once again, main problem was a hyper-violent and repressive police response to overwhelmingly peaceful demonstrations. Actual outside agitators played a big part too.

Everyone I’ve worked with is somewhere between wary and disgusted by sheriffs, state cops and (in other cases) local PDs working with ICE, CBP etc while doing *nothing* at all to protect average people. But nobody’s seriously worried about their fellow volunteers. Seems like a bad faith framing.
