I generally take these trial balloons with a grain of salt. It’s @axios so heavily based on GOP sources trying to create a sense of momentum. But it’s silly to make a deal for anything but full restoration of Obamacare funding. No promised votes.

As someone who believes voters should be expecting more rail expansions and greater coverage, I hate pooping on people’s crayons. Still, this proposal has negative transportation value, and isn’t workable. I get why the best transit governor in the country opposes it.

if you don't show up to vote, it doesn't matter how many protests you arrange or attend, how loud you yell for a general strike, or anything else you've been doing for the last 10 months. one vote means more than all of that put together. use your power.

We’re working hard in the Bay Area to invest in transit — to strengthen & modernize it & improve service, safety & cleanliness. We need to take this fight national. The US severely under-invests in transit & Trump is making it worse. The U.S. should lead the world on rail & other transit, not lag.
