The discourse around “shots of the decade” keeps bringing to mind for me this moment in THE ZONE OF INTEREST that distills the sterile detachment and carefully compartmentalized horror of Glazer’s film to a solitary, soul-chilling frame. Ridley spent the press tour bragging that he shot Gladiator II in only 51 days. You can tell. It does look lazy and rushed. But I thought Napoleon looked great and that was just last year.

I must say this as clearly as possible: if you have, in the last ten years, thought "I just don't get tech" or that you're "getting old" or "you're not technical," you are the victim - so much of the tech industry is now oriented around making you do stuff rather than doing stuff for you.
