I'm probably naive and gullible. I'll admit it; I'm not built for a world where you can't trust anything you see or hear. But whilst it IS a minority, I hate to see people seemingly pushing for equality and justice using these tactics. It's destabilising.

Some may shout 'psyop' and yeah, it can be, but what I see is more basic. People wanting a 'win' a moment of 'clout' over integrity. That human weakness sadly crosses political lines.

I expect the extreme right to lie. But I'm exhausted when I see the left editing images, using AI and misrepresenting things. The truth is enough, we don't need to stoop to the level of liars and tyrants.

I know it's not the point. But AI art has this really unique kind of ugliness to it. Even when it's vibrant, or convincing... when you look carefully there is this terrifying absence: Looking into the eyes of an AI avatar is like putting a small part of your soul into a meat grinder.
