Pleasant first #RollingintheRuins social last night. It was great to see so many people (around 20 in the end) coming to fabulous Bradford for pre-minicon beverages. Mild hangover this morning. From as far afield as South-west Wales Somerset, braving traffic jams on the M6 and Taylor's boots.

Our @malcolmcraig.bsky.social always talks about the most cheerful of subjects. In this case, you can hear him discussing World War Three, the work of General Sir John Hackett, games, and much more with @breakfastruins.bsky.social.

Our pals at @breakfastruins.bsky.social have an imminent gaming minicon/meetup/pissup and guess who did the art? No, not Rodney Matthews, but his Diamond Head- Living On Borrowed Time art was *possibly* an influence.

I have not run a game at a convention for many, many years. But this weekend I'm hosting a game of Hot War 2nd edition at the Rolling in the Ruins mini-con organised by @breakfastruins.bsky.social. I am both nervous and excited.

It's humbling to have Simon onboard for this. I'll be a first time con GM this weekend, and I have the butterflies, but knowing that one of the true pros in the game still does makes me feel a lot better.

I was going to skip this episode of @breakfastruins.bsky.social because I often find pontificating about the horrors of a third world war somewhat ghoulish. However I'm glad I didn't because I really enjoyed it.

Excellent evening back in the old country last night. Had a marvellous sputtie, several excellent pints with some old buddies, admired the Ferens art gallery, visited England's smallest window, and discovered that our hotel is next door to a gaming store. Looks like a random RPG purchase today.

I went in on a preorder of an Elric toy from savage crucible long ago enough that I entirely forgot about having ordered it but I got an email saying it’s on its way and I AM PUMPED. In checking I also was reminded I ordered a fancy death dealer toy and remembered my plans to make them smooch.
