A lot of people worked for years to expose the scandal of Robodebt. But the big lie of ‘mutual obligation’ is still official policy in Australia. Until we treat people seeking help with respect, this stuff will continue

It is not about Kimmel or what he said. It is about the US government forcing a network to fire someone - no government should have that power. If the network decided this on their own, that’s one thing. But in this case they absolutely did not.

I am on the pension now after nearly 3 years on Jobseeker (not fun over 60), I still privately rent but whenever there is a rise in the pension, they cut down my rent assistance! Give with one hand, take with the other . . .

I also want to say I’m very thankful to live in public housing but I find it amazing that every time I get an increase i lose 25 percent of it to the state govt 😂 talk about double dipping

The problem with the ABC in particular is their news is now produced via google trends The editors don't make a decision about what's newsworthy - they have to follow google The players know this and swamp the socials and Newscorp, etc, with agit-prop which trends And then the ABC has to cover it
