What's wild is Black people keep telling everyone else this but accepting that racial solidarity against mass incarceration is the baseline of meaningful resistance is a bridge too far for an overwhelming majority of the population, despite very obvious for-profit concentration camp plans.

And in fact, because of protecting and caring for each other, the building/rebuilding is already happening. In ways little and big we meet disaster, collapse, domination from the opposite stance to what created it.

Waiting to see how long it takes institutions reinstate the diversity, equity, and inclusion programs they shut down, re-hire those they pushed out, and rewrite all the language they rushed to change. Something tells me it'll likely be a long wait.

Have you ever wondered why the circulation of horrific videos of police assaulting and murdering people usually results in more political support and resources for police? This thread is a great explainer.

This is why I think we need to let go the āno kingsā stuff and start talking oligarchy. We have to recognize this is not about one singular garbage ass man, but about an entire class of people that can start/stop wars based on their own economic interests.

This is one of the reasons why I think it's so weird when people blame the US electorate for what's happening right now. I remember 2020--we left everything on the field that year. And then we were betrayed.

People can say itās utopian or dreamy but itās a fact that you have to believe new things are possible, fundamentally, in order to make them real. You have to make the choice to believe that more than this is possible & not be resigned to this being the way things have to be because itās not at all.

one reset I'd personally appreciate: behind the insistence that we must offer the electorate a little bigotry is the idea that commoners are more bigoted than the richer and more educated, who can be appealed to with high minded policy. but then you Ctrl+F "phrenology" in the Epstein files
