Sometimes, to create lasting change it's not enough to accomplish the change, you may also need prepare to dissipate future pushback to that change. Thus, this week's #MultisolvingMonday: "Suppose you succeed beyond your wildest dreams - what balancing feedback loops might that success trigger?"

Today would be Coretta Scott King’s 99th birthday. CSK was a lifelong freedom fighter & more of an activist than MLK when they met. As a student she’d supported the Progressive Party’s 3rd party challenge for president opposing US militarism, racism & economic inequality. We need to know her.

I’ve had people suggest the blockchain for Good Potato Project, but it’s really just human beings meeting one another. That’s it. That’s how we “scale” our trust and our energy. The atoms of community are within each of us.

I've been seeing my place in the world as being a node that connects people to others -like a fungi under the soil to keep the forest healthy and allocate resources where they are needed. Joining other mycelium networks is my only future.

Words fail. To my knowledge, an all-out purge like this is unprecedented in the 76-year history of the US National Science Board. Unclear what this means for the National Science Foundation and its purview (which includes the National Center for Atmospheric Research), but I'm feeling queasy.

Putting on my tick gaiters and spraying up with a mix of a tick-repelling herbs and essential oils to go work in the woods. Even with all this daily rigamarole I have three deer tick bites in various stages of itchy recovery at the moment.

Hypothesis: feeling inadequate might mean you are on the right track. Reasoning: a. The dominant structures and narratives are speeding towards (or already at) disaster. b. Responding in ways that those structures and narratives expect and reward won't turn the trajectory.
