After 22 years as a letterer, I now only have enough regular lettering work to keep me busy for 2 days per week. So if you’re staffing a new project, please keep me in mind as your letterer! Or request me via your editor! Recent clients include DC, Marvel, BOOM, Dark Horse, 2000AD, etc. Thank you 🙏🏻

Essentially, I think that LLM-generated dialogue only makes sense if you believe that the product of writing is words. But the product of writing isn't words, any more than the product of justice is prisoners, or the product of love is weddings. The product of writing is meaning.

I have reached the point where I know what the cover for the next book will be, which means I get to email my cover artist! Her emails always make me smile, and I get to see excellent art coming together. One of the best stages of writing.

Can we please agree to stop removing EM dashes and 'big words' from our books because the barely literate think those are how you spot AI? I'm ahead of the curve anyway, because I don't know any big words.

The upside to the unending flood of AI sewage is that I spend less time on social media. Atrocious IG descriptions that don't even belong to the video, pointless and fully AI generated videos on FB... Fine, that's a lie - I spend just as much time, I just tut a lot more.

My brain informs me that it's time for my bi-monthly rant inside my head about how the Russos didn't know the meaning of the word 'Assemble' in Endgame. Is there a reason for it? No. Do I even care much about the MCU these days? No. Is it getting in the way of my writing. Yes. Am I stopping? No.
