The freelancer pay discourse just feels pointless and sad to me at this stage. Real crabs-in-a-bucket vibe. We needed some kind of industry-wide union at least a decade ago. I look back on some of the gigs that paid me the worst, and treated me worst, and all I can do is shake my head and laugh.

I've seen the trend in book covet art towards decorative borders with beautifully designed text central. I actually like it a lot as it speaks to the gorgeous Victorian covers in an updated way. Should I be looking for book designers to work with as an illustrator? Designers, what do you think?

Damn, Rings of power much like the Hobbit movies, manages to be that much more brutal because there are some legitimately good bits hidden beneath quotes from LOTR if theyd been written by ai and some of the most forced dialogue ever recorded.
