This was always something that stakeholders not vested in the development process always felt, but never consciously detected. We'd get feedback from the C-suite that an animation felt wrong, drop in the final sounds, and get thanked for fixing the animation issue. We didn't touch a frame of it.

I was slowly relocated from a city with good services to smaller and smaller communities until I was in a one-building K-12 where literally no one on staff had gifted experience. There were eight kids in my grade total. I belonged nowhere. I was just the "weirdo", and there was no place of respite.

Today I learned the name for something I've dealt with for years: "dry begging". It's when someone declares a problem, but then refuses to *ask* for help with it; they just let the declaration sit in the air and wait for you to offer to help. I eventually broke myself of the habit of volunteering.
