“What our clients need is meaningful pathways out of homelessness. The City should make Bruckner residents categorically eligible for CityFHEPS, fund on-site housing specialists...and immediately address these ongoing conditions at the site” CFTH's Sr Mgr for Shelter Compliance Jamie Powlovich said.

@mayor.nyc.gov and @council.nyc.gov must include $500m for CityFHEPS expansion in the budget. CityFHEPS is an essential lifeline — in FY25, 13,436 people exited shelter to permanent housing with CityFHEPS. But with 97K households still in shelter, the City must do more.

We worked with our partners in the legislature Assemblymember Karines Reyes & @sengonzalezny.bsky.social to pass a bill requiring universal access to WiFi in shelters. Now, it's up to the @governor.ny.gov to sign the law and ensure that homeless NYers have access to the internet.
